A History of Growth

Founded by David O. Nelson in July 1973, Performance Feeders began manufacturing vibratory feed systems with ten employees in a 3,000 square foot facility located in Noblesville, Indiana.

After only a year, the production demands exceeded the capacity of the original facility, so the company moved its operations to a newer, larger facility in Westfield, Indiana.

As our business continued to grow, the facility was expanded – three times - to meet the ever increasing requirements of our customers. In the fall of 1975, a brand new manufacturing facility was opened in Orlando, Florida to enhance the company's ability to serve the eastern and southeastern United States.

Just a few years later, the company was recognized as one of the largest manufacturers of vibratory feeding equipment in the country. In 1977 the Orlando operation was relocated to Clearwater, Florida and became the company's Corporate Headquarters. By 1984, we had once again outgrown our space and moved to our present location in Oldsmar, Florida.

Our Company Headquarters, now located in Oldsmar, Florida provides a state-of-the-art facility with the capability of meeting even the most difficult materials and product handling needs of our customers.

Performance Feeders, Inc. is now entering into its third generation of family-owned leadership. This continuity of vision and purpose keeps the company narrowly focused on its growth objectives and commitment to outstanding service.

To live up to this commitment, we devote a great deal of time and effort to research and development. We strive continually to keep our new products on the leading edge in order to stay abreast of our customers' growing needs. Our comprehensive, on-going training program ensures that we have the best qualified people possible making only the highest quality products.

Our dedicated nationwide sales team includes both manufacturer’s representatives and in-house sales staff. They all have extensive hands-on engineering experience in automatic assembly so they can work directly with you from your initial design stages all the way through the final build and installation.
